Nifty Thrifty

Aaaaand here's that post I had scheduled for last week, but somehow I messed up the auto scheduler and it never went up.  I had a few meetings last week, so I needed to wear a black pants and blazer combo, but I really wanted to add something a little fun, so I threw in a bright blazer I found thrifting, polka dots, studded flats, and an Eiffel Tower pendant for good measure.

I've worn this blazer so many times since I found it thrifting that I think the CPW (cost-per-wear) is down to pennies.  It was such a random find, and the size is something like a 4 petite, which I'm totally not either of those, but it ended up working really well.  I've been meaning to change out the buttons for awhile though... any thoughts on what kind of button would look good on this?  I think a matte gold would be nice, but I'm not really well-versed in where to find such buttons - any suggestions???

  3. LAURA. I love this outfit! I wish I had a bright blazer to recreate because seriously: amazing.

    as for buttons, have you tried joanns fabric? thats where I get all my buttons and fabric and...just about everything. they have a huge aisle of buttons!

    also...are you in the city this weekend? We're shopping / eating /drinking saturday and I'd love to see you!

    1. Awww, thanks Fran - you're the best! I have not tried JoAnn for buttons, but I definitely will - thanks for the recommendation!

      Sadly I'm not in Chi this weekend, I'm heading to Kansas City tomorrow morning for some family stuff for the weekend :( I'm so sad to miss you while you're here - make sure you instagram your pics so I can stalk and live vicariously!!! We'll have to plan another play date soon!
