Monday - EBEW Back to School

First, a little outfit action for this month's Everybody Everywear challenge - back to school (updated because I totally forgot to mention this earlier today - I am so bad at remembering link ups!  Need to get an editorial calendar in my life, pronto!)

EBEW - Back To School

I'm Wearing
Tommy Hilfiger (via Macy's) blazer - gift (similar)
Gap perfect dot button-down: $8.50 (exact)
Michael Kors gold watch - gift
Ebay brown belt - $4 (free with Ebay bucks)
Mossimo (via Target) jeans - $20, old
Steve Madden gold flats (via DSW) - $30ish (similar)

I wore this outfit last Friday for casual Friday at work (I know it's kind of unfair to post that on a Monday, sorry).  The dot blouse from Gap is a recent purchase, and I really love it - the fit and fabric are both great, I highly recommend it.  Even though I don't technically have any school to go back to this fall, this is what I would wear if I did!

Second, how was your weekend?  I attended a wedding for a few friends and had a really good time, and then my family did an early birthday celebration for my hubby.  It was his choice for the day's activity, so we watched football (and obsessed over our fantasy teams) and ate tons of food.  It was a pretty good weekend, but I was so pooped by last night that I was in bed by 9:30!  Did you have any big/exciting things going on?

Third, I wanted to let you guys know that I'm going to be heading to New York later this week!  No - not for fashion week!  The timing is purely coincidental (although I may try to go over to Lincoln Center just to see who I can get a glimpse of! :D), our trip is for the purpose of visiting a friend who recently moved to NYC and just to get our yearly fill of the city - this will be our third year in a row!  Have you ever been?  Are there any places you highly recommend that we check out this time???  We'll be staying near the SoHo/West Village/Hudson Square area if that helps.  The last two times Jason and I went to NY, we stayed in Midtown so we could do the cool touristy things, but I'm really excited to stay in an actual neighborhood and see some other parts of the city this time!

And finally, I'm also linking up with the usuals: Molly for YOLO Monday and Real Girl Glam, so be sure to check out some other fun Monday posts and submit your own!

    1. Thank you so much Lindsay! Ah it was a random good deal - I had a 40% off coupon plus some exchange credits and a gift card, so that's what I actually paid (not what it actually cost!) I'm sure it will come back in stock - I think I saw it online recently, hopefully you can snap one up soon! So glad you stopped by from Molly's blog! :)

I have a friend doing the Goofy challenge too I think - is that the one that's a marathon AND a half marathon in the same weekend? So hardcore! I'm sure it will be awesome, I would love to do a race at Disney World one day! :)
