Cabo Part 2

(Edited to add: holy cow, this is my 100th post!!!  Yay!)

We spend the first few days in Cabo relaxing and not really worrying about getting anything in particular done, which was wonderful.  Like I mentioned in yesterday's post, we went to San Jose for dinner one night but spent the rest of the time on the beach and at the hotel.  We went over to Cabo San Lucas for all of Thursday, which was really fun in a different way - it's much more "touristy" and busy there, so we were actually glad to return to our hotel a bit away from that atmosphere.

I wore a comfy shorts and tank outfit with minimal accessories because it was muy calor and I was sweating before we even left the hotel.

I'm Wearing
J. Crew coral Boardwalk tote (exact)
(I also got the mint one during the 30% off sale last week)
J. Crew Factory straw fedora (recent, similar only $13!)
J. Crew Factory teal tank (recent)
J. Crew Factory yellow and gold necklace (recent)
J. Crew Factory blue ikat shorts (recent, similar)
Kelly & Katie orange flat sandals (via DSW)

I know, I'm wearing almost entirely J. Crew/Factory - I confess that I bought these items together on one shopping trip about a month ago with the intention of wearing them together on this vacation!

Some more shots from our Cabo San Lucas day trip

Fiesta all the time

Vive Mexico & the Harbor

Bright flowers

$1 Sol at a random storefront, and the bartender asked us to make our mark on the bar! :)
(and thanks for the suggestion to try Sol, Bri at Work Clothes, I Suppose - it was fantastic!)

Cabo Wabo... took forever to find and was just okay.

Wall decor at Cabo Wabo

Quesadilla at Cabo Wabo

Gorgeous stair tiles

Por favor!

Tequila... uno mas?  Si!

Pretty vases

Loved all the colorful umbrellas

Glass bottom boat ride to Lovers' Beach/el Arco

Seals!

El Arco

Lovers' Beach

The other side of the arch (aka divorce beach)

The birds

Drinks at The Office (thanks for the awesome suggestion, Style Cue by Suzie Q!)  This place was so fun and colorful, I couldn't stop snapping pics the entire time we were there!

And then onto Mi Casa for dinner, which was the best Mexican food we had on the entire trip!

Such an interesting contrast - the gift shop/entrance has this New Orleans/Voodoo vibe, but the dining room is traditional bright Mexican decor

Enchiladas verdes y rojas - muy, muy bueno!  I even ate the entire black bean cup AND the rice even though I usually never touch those.

And a few final shots of our last days at the hotel/beach

Turtle & penguin towel animals :)

Infinity pool = love

Private beach dining

Beautiful rocks & waves

Phew - so many pics in so little time!  That's the last of it though, I'll be back to regular posting tomorrow!  I'm already having vacation withdrawal (I think I might have already said that yesterday...) and I'm counting down the days until our next trip.  I'm not sure what it will be yet, but it could be a 4th of July NYC trip (fingers crossed!!!).  Are you going anywhere this summer?

      2. Me too, but I didn't even plan it! I randomly grabbed 2 bottles of nail polish to bring with me at the last minute (no time for a pre-trip mani/pedi), and those looked nice and summery to me at that exact moment.
      3. Yes!!! It was fantastic - is it available in the US? I might have to stalk it until I can find some here!
      4. It was SO good - definitely the best Mex we had on the entire trip!
