Wishlist Wednesday: Polka Dots

Polka Dots aren't necessarily a spring trend, or a trend at all for that matter - I think they're pretty timeless and fresh in almost any situation.  In any case, polka dots are definitely one of the things I wanted to wear all the time this spring!  I have a few other items, but one thing I really wanted was a cardigan that I could wear over other shirts and layer when it gets colder in the fall.  I recently picked up this adorable cardi at the Tommy Hilfiger Outlet and I can see myself wearing it so many ways.  For my first outfit, I decided to pair it with some bright colors and one of my favorite (and frequently featured, as in here, here, and here) pairs of flats.

Are you a polka dots person?  I think it's really a tie between polka dots and stripes for me as far as the most versatile, timeless pattern of all time - they both go with pretty much everything!  Incidentally, I'm not sure I love the layering of this cardi with this dress because the dress has pockets on the front hip area that kind of stick out funny underneath the cardi.  Oh well - live and learn, right?
