Three Little Birds

There are actually several more than just three birds in this post, but I love that song to death, so there's the title.  I wore this outfit to work last week and was really comfortable all day while still office and meeting-appropriate and looking cute.  Win-win-win in my book!

Talbots ivory satin-trim cardigan - $20 (similar and comes in lots of colors!)
(ps - i love bird prints, in case it isn't obvious...)
J. Crew Cafe Trousers in cobblestone - $20 (exact)
(totally scored 4 pairs of these in different colors last week at the 30% off in-store sale!)
Jessica Simpson red suede pumps - $25 (via Marshall's, old) (similarsimilarsimilar with a fab ankle strap)

Michael Kors gold watch - gift (exact)
Nordstrom brown faux leather wrap bracelet - $8, old (similar)
JewelMint crystal bow bracelet - $25
J. Crew red bangle - $15 (similarsimilarkind of similar and super cool)
Banana Republic Factory matte gold bangle set - $6 (similar and very affordable)

I recently heard that suede is a fall/winter only material for shoes, but I tend to disagree.  I concede that suede jackets or clothes aren't spring/summer appropriate, but I kind of think shoes in any material aside from fur are okay all year long.  What do you think, would you wear suede shoes in the spring or summer?

  1. For some reason, I've ended up buying several pairs of suede shoes. I'm still wearing them through spring, but think they just won't feel right to me once summer and its excessive heat gets here!

    1. You know Jess, I think you're right - once the fresh spring weather is over and the sweltering heat is here, I'm sure suede won't feel right anymore. Plus, there are just far too many cute wedges, sandals, and other summer shoes to get to to bother with suede anymore for the season :)
